Become part of the 2025 + 2026 bicycle donation campaign
An easy route to school is anything but easy for many children in Togo.
In Togo, for many children the hardest part doesn’t start in the classroom, but already on the way there.

We invite you to be part of our bicycle campaign. For €125, a schoolchild in Agou receives a bicycle, a lock and a reflective vest – and with it the chance to reach the secondary school.
And now imagine your child having to do that.
Togo’s school system follows the French model. After six years of primary school, students move on to Collège or Lycée. On paper, that sounds straightforward.
In reality, it means this:
➤ Secondary schools are located almost exclusively in larger towns. Many villages don’t have a single one.
For children, this means:
Anyone who wants to continue their education has to walk. Every day. Often for hours. On foot, without shade, without any form of transport.
Some manage this for a while. Many do not.
Not because they lack interest in school, but because the distance is simply too far for a child. As a result, many education paths end right after primary school.
A bicycle solves this problem immediately.
The ten most engaged pupils at each primary school receive a bicycle.
Five girls, five boys. Fairly allocated and clearly communicated.
In total, this means:
▹ 15 schools
▹ 150 children
▹ 150 reachable school routes
This ensures that the bicycles go exactly where they make the biggest difference: to children who would otherwise not manage the path to secondary school.
For €125 you fund a complete set:
▹ a stable bicycle
▹ a lock
▹ a reflective vest
In 2022, 50 children received a bicycle.
Feedback from parents and teachers was clear: Children arrived at school less exhausted, could concentrate better, and families felt relieved. Teachers even reported noticeably improved learning outcomes. The school route became manageable — and learning became possible again.
➜ These results are the reason we are now expanding the project.
We collect donations until 1 May 2026.
After that, we order the bicycles.
The handover will take place at the end of July / beginning of August 2026 — after the final exams.
Togo faces many challenges.
Here, we are solving one very specific one: the daily route to school.
Not more, but also not less.
A bicycle does not replace systemic reform.
But it gives a child the basic ability to continue their education at all.
And that is a meaningful and understandable step.
We appreciate every contribution.
With €125, you make a child’s school route manageable — and education accessible.
