Wood Burning Cookstoves in Malawi
The project aims to bring about a sustainable change in cooking technology in Malawi by introducing environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient cooking cookers. These so-called "Improved Cooking Stoves" (ICS) are designed to replace conventional cooking cookers and increase the efficiency of wood combustion, thereby improving heat transfer to the cooking pots. The introduction of the cookers aims to combat deforestation in Malawi and improve indoor air quality, which reduces health risks for the population.
The aim is to increase the efficiency of fuel consumption, combat deforestation and promote people's health by improving air quality. The project contributes to regional value creation by creating jobs and providing regular income.
