The Jari-Amapá project is an initiative to protect and reforest forest areas in the Jari-Amapá region of Brazil. The project includes measures such as the reforestation of cleared areas, the conservation of existing forests and the promotion of sustainable forestry practices. These measures not only preserve biodiversity, but also strengthen the carbon sinks in the forests.
The main objective of the Jari Amapá forest conservation and reforestation project is to halt the loss of forests, preserve biodiversity and reduce CO₂ emissions by storing carbon in forests. By protecting and restoring ecosystems, the project also contributes to the sustainable development of the region and provides economic and social benefits for the local population.

Other ways to engage

Our two favorite projects, PROJECT TOGO and Deutschland Plus, offer you numerous opportunities to actively contribute to climate protection - far beyond CO2 offsetting.
