7. Newsletter
Newsletter Data
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified e-mail address and agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected or only on a voluntary basis. To process the newsletter, we use newsletter service providers described below.
Brevo
This website uses Brevo to send newsletters. The provider is Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany.
Brevo is a service with which, among other things, the sending of newsletters can be organised and analysed. The data you enter for the purpose of receiving the newsletter is stored on Sendinblue GmbH servers in Germany.
Data Analysis by Brevo
With the help of Brevo, we are able to analyse our newsletter campaigns. For example, we can see whether a newsletter message was opened and which links, if any, were clicked. In this way, we can determine, among other things, which links were clicked particularly often.
We can also detect whether certain previously defined actions were carried out after opening/clicking (conversion rate). We can thus see, for example, whether you made a purchase after clicking the newsletter.
Brevo also enables us to divide ("cluster") the newsletter recipients based on various categories. The newsletter recipients can, for example, be divided by age, gender or place of residence. In this way, the newsletters can be better adapted to the respective target groups.
If you do not want an analysis by Brevo, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a corresponding link in every newsletter message. Detailed information on Brevo's functions can be found at the following link: https://www.brevo.com/de/newsletter-software/ .
Legal Basis
Data processing takes place on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
Retention Period
The data you deposit with us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after unsubscribing. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.
After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your e-mail address may be stored in a blacklist by us or the newsletter service provider if this is necessary to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and will not be merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with the statutory requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Storage in the blacklist is not limited in time. You can object to storage if your interests override our legitimate interest.
Further details can be found in Brevo's data protection provisions at: https://www.brevo.com/de/datenschutz-uebersicht/ as well as https://www.brevo.com/de/legal/privacypolicy/ .
Contract Data Processing
We have concluded a contract on data processing (AVV) for the use of the above-mentioned service. This is a contract prescribed by data protection law, which ensures that they process the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
Newsletter Sending to Existing Customers
If you order goods or services from us and enter your e-mail address, this e-mail address can subsequently be used by us to send newsletters, provided we inform you about this in advance. In such a case, only direct marketing for our own similar goods or services will be sent via the newsletter. You can cancel the sending of this newsletter at any time. For this purpose, a corresponding link can be found in each newsletter. In this case, the legal basis for sending the newsletter is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR in conjunction with § 7 (3) UWG.
After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your e-mail address may be stored in a blacklist by us to prevent future mailings to you.
8. Plugins and Tools
YouTube with Extended Data Protection
This website integrates videos from the YouTube website. The operator of the website is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
When you visit one of these websites on which YouTube is integrated, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to associate your surfing behaviour directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
We use YouTube in extended data protection mode. According to YouTube, videos played in extended data protection mode are not used to personalise surfing on YouTube. Advertisements displayed in extended data protection mode are also not personalised. No cookies are set in extended data protection mode. Instead, however, so-called local storage elements are stored in the user's browser, which, similar to cookies, contain personal data and can be used for recognition. Details on the extended data protection mode can be found here:
https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/171780 .
If necessary, further data processing operations over which we have no influence can be triggered after activating a YouTube video.
YouTube is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
