CORPORATE CARBON FOOTPRINT

You cannot manage emissions effectively as long as they are only visible in isolated places.

You cannot manage emissions effectively as long as they are only visible in isolated places.

Electricity consumption records are kept in accounting. Business travel is tracked differently from transport. Purchased goods, IT, or waste are stored in various systems – or have not been brought together at all.

A Corporate Carbon Footprint compiles this information into a verifiable corporate balance sheet.

We record the relevant emissions of your company for a specified period, classify them, and document how the results are achieved.

YOUR ORDER

Your Order

Your Order

You commission us to record your company's greenhouse gas emissions for a clearly defined reporting period and to document them as a Corporate Carbon Footprint.

A CCF does not answer the question of whether a company is "good" or "bad". It shows which emissions belong to its own activities and value chain, where they arise, and on which database they were calculated.

The goal is a basis with which you can continue to work:

for customers who ask for company data,

for a report, a rating or an internal decision,

for later reduction planning,

and for the next balance sheet, which shouldn't have to start from scratch again.

WHAT WE DO FOR YOU

What we do for you

What we do for you

01

1. Define reporting boundaries

We clarify which companies, locations and activities are included in the balance sheet, the period for which it is calculated, and what you require the result for.

This makes it clear from the very beginning what the results refer to – and what they do not.

02

2. Classify emissions according to Scope 1, 2 and 3

We structure the emissions according to the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard: direct emissions, purchased energy and relevant emissions in the value chain.

We systematically review Scope 3 categories. Not every category is equally relevant to every company. What is included or excluded is recorded in a transparent and traceable manner.

03

3. Gather data in a targeted manner

We will show you which data is required, where it is likely to be found in the company, and which people should be involved.

Energy, fleet, travel, purchasing, transport, waste, or IT are not treated as loose, individual topics, but are instead integrated into a common balance sheet.

04

4. Calculate and document

We calculate emissions based on available data and reliable emission factors. Where assumptions or estimates are necessary, they are documented transparently.

The result is not just an overall value, but a balance sheet with a clear system boundary, data sources, calculation logic, and categorisation of the key emission drivers.

05

Prepare 5th update

A company balance sheet only becomes particularly helpful when it can be continued again the following year.

Therefore, we document which data sources, responsibilities, and rules are required for the next balance sheet – and where the database can be sensibly improved.

HOW THE COLLABORATION WORKS

How the collaboration works

How the collaboration works

Clarify framework and objective

We discuss the purpose, reporting period, organisational boundary and the required depth of the balance sheet. This establishes a common understanding before any data is requested.

Structuring data sources

You gather the available documents and contact persons. We help to limit the data collection to what is actually needed for the agreed balance sheet.

Calculation and queries

We process the data, clarify outstanding issues and record assumptions in a traceable manner. This makes it clear which areas have already been reliably captured and where the data situation can still be improved.

Result and Continuation

We explain the balance sheet, the key emission drivers and the next logical steps. Together, we will establish what is needed for the update next year.

WHAT YOU GET

What you get

What you get

You will receive a documented company balance sheet for the agreed reporting period.

It contains:

— a defined organisational and reporting boundary,

— the calculated emissions under Scope 1, Scope 2 and the included Scope 3 categories,

— the data sources, emission factors and assumptions used,

— a classification of the key emission drivers,

— Notes on data quality and outstanding issues,

— and what next steps arise from this.

This gives you a basis for a planned approach to the report, the customer response or the follow-up project – internally, with us or with other parties involved.

WHO THIS OFFER IS FOR

Who this offer is suitable for

Who this offer is suitable for

The reporting and gap analysis is intended for companies where the framework has already been established – but the implementation has not yet been clearly planned.

For example, if:

you want to prepare a VSME report, a rating request or a customer inquiry,

initial data is available, but its usability is unclear,

several areas must contribute information,

the management needs a comprehensible basis for decision-making,

or whether a repeatable process should be established for the coming years.

WHAT THE CCF IS NOT

What the CCF is not

What the CCF is not

A Corporate Carbon Footprint is not a certification, a seal of quality, or a statement that a company is climate neutral.

It is not a substitute for a sustainability report, a climate strategy, a legal review, or independent verification.

Furthermore, a lower value in the subsequent year does not automatically mean an emission reduction. Changes in data, balance boundaries or calculation rules can also influence it. This is why we make changes transparent. The CCF creates the foundation on which these next steps can be sensibly planned.

RECORD FIRST. THEN DECIDE.

First capture. Then decide.

We will clarify with you which accounting framework suits your task, which data is already available, and how your Corporate Carbon Footprint can be meaningfully structured.
