What the monitoring value shows: 345,162 t CO₂e relate to the period 01/12/2019–30/11/2021. The value is neither an annual emission reduction nor a current update beyond the end of this period.
What the end of the crediting period means: The registry entry specifies 14/01/2022 as the end date of Term 1. The technical operation of a wind farm and the issuance of new VCUs are separate issues. The "Registered" status alone does not imply continuous crediting after this date.
Discrepancy between sources: The submitted monitoring documents sometimes state different date limits in the VCS/CDM context. For the current profile, the crediting period shown in the Verra registry is used; the historical documents remain identifiable as source context.
02 · WHAT THE PROJECT PROVIDES FOR
Generate wind power, feed it into the grid and record it traceably
For the carbon footprint, it is not only the installed capacity that counts. What is decisive is the amount of electricity generated within a specified period and fed into the grid at the defined metering point.

Using wind on the isthmus
The project context describes 68 wind turbines with a combined capacity of 102 MW in a windy region of Oaxaca. The installed capacity alone does not yet constitute an emission reduction.

Feed electricity into the grid
The electricity generated is fed into the Mexican power system and sold to CFE. It does not follow that specific households, products or companies are directly supplied with this electricity.

Document creation
Measurement data, calculation documents and independent audits form the basis for the quantification and possible issuance of VCUs for defined periods.

ACM0002 forms the methodological framework mentioned in the documents for grid-connected electricity generation from renewable sources.

The reference scenario describes how the corresponding amount of electricity would have been provided without the project in the Mexican electricity system.

The documents describe the preparation of electricity data on an hourly, monthly, and annual basis. Data checking and evidence reconciliation are part of the verification.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Technical operation over years
A wind farm is a long-term energy infrastructure. Nevertheless, statements regarding employment, regional value creation, or security of supply require their own indicators.
ENVIRONMENT
No combustion during plant operation
Wind energy does not require fuel during operation. A complete environmental assessment would nevertheless have to include manufacturing, grid connection, land use, and end-of-life.
FOR COMMUNICATION
A link to renewable energy or the Sustainable Development Goals is not a comprehensive sustainability credential. What matters is which specific statement is supported by which indicator, which source, and over which time period.
