WHY TRANSPARENCY MATTERS
The project generates wind power and feeds it predominantly into regional electricity grids; a small portion is fed into the grid for self-consumption on an accounting basis. The emission reduction does not occur as a directly measured quantity of CO₂ at the turbine. It is calculated from the measured amount of electricity and a methodologically determined emission factor of the reference grid.
A registry entry does not replace a declaration of performance. But it makes its basis verifiable.

02 · WHAT HAPPENS IN THE PROJECT
Wind becomes metered electricity
The project activity comprises wind energy converters at several locations. The electricity generated is metered and either fed into the regional grid or transmitted via grid utilisation for self-consumption.

Generation
56 onshore wind turbines with a total of 44.40 MW generate electricity without fuel combustion on site.

Grid utilisation
After registration, the electricity from most systems is sold to state utilities. Three 600 kW systems supply electricity via the grid for the company's own consumption.

Monitoring
For accounting purposes, the net electricity volume actually measured is decisive – not just the installed capacity or a forecasted annual production.
03 · HOW A UNIT IS CREATED
It is calculated within a specified model from measured power generation, the reference grid and the project emissions taken into account methodologically.

Determine reference network
The methodology determines which electricity system is considered and how its emission factor is calculated from operational and capacity expansion data.

Measure electricity quantity
Meter data records the net electricity generation or net grid feed-in eligible for the project during the monitoring period.

Calculate reduction
The measured amount of electricity is linked to the methodologically determined grid emission factor; relevant project emissions and requirements are taken into account.

Check and register
Monitoring report and calculation are independently verified. Only after this can VCUs be issued for a specified period.

Consider climate impact and potential additional benefits separately
Wind energy can have further effects beyond the balanced reduction of greenhouse gases. However, these are not automatically quantified in the same way or individually proven for each unit issued.
POWER SYSTEM
Additional renewable generation
The project feeds wind power into a regional electricity system. Which conventional generation is displaced on balance is determined by the methodology – not by a direct allocation to an individual power plant.
OPERATION
No on-site incineration
Electricity generation does not require an ongoing use of fuel. This does not mean that manufacturing, infrastructure, land use and decommissioning are free of impacts.
TECHNOLOGY
Operation and Maintenance
The project documentation names Suzlon and associated companies as suppliers and operation and maintenance partners. A specific employment effect per certificate is therefore not proven.
REGION
Contribution to the energy infrastructure
The plants expand renewable generation capacity. A general improvement in local security of supply cannot be deduced from this alone.
SDG REFERENCES
For a wind energy project, references to SDG 7 'Affordable and Clean Energy' and SDG 13 'Climate Action' are particularly obvious. natureOffice does not use this classification as a seal of approval or as proof of a comprehensive sustainability status.
